JUNC ALLEY 2026 INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEER APPLICATION
This is the only official application for volunteering at Junc Alley, our new immersive experience at Mojave Mayhem in Goodsprings, NV. This is not the same form used to apply as a general volunteer for the rest of the event. That form will be available on the website in the near future.
If you are already accepted as a faction member, you do not need to fill out this application. You will receive an onboarding form directly from your faction lead. If you are unsure, speak with your faction lead.
If you want to join a faction, you can do so through our Discord.
Read through the volunteer positions below before filling out this form. Full information about Junc Alley can be found at juncalley.mojavemayhem.com.
If your application is accepted and you complete a minimum of 8–10 volunteer hours, you will receive a complimentary General Admission ticket with a Junc Alley upgrade.
Before applying, please familiarize yourself with the Official FIRP Codex, which is the code of conduct all volunteers are expected to follow.
This list will be kept as up to date as possible. If a position appears below, applications for that position are still being accepted.
Onsite Positions
Bounty Hunt Tent
Distribute quests and rewards in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment. Strong multitasking skills required.
Build Crew
Pre-event structural setup and post-event teardown. Requires prior building experience (construction, set design) and heavy lifting. Must arrive early and/or stay late. This will mainly be building shared infrastructure, not faction camps, however you may be asked to help factions if needed. Generally, this position does not work during the event.
Children of Atom Distressing Booth Lead
This person will be in charge of coordinating the other volunteers of the distressing booth and gate watch to ensure all attendees entering Junc Alley are within the Costume Guidelines. You must be willing and able to intercept attendees that may not be up to the guidelines and roleplay with them and get them to distress their own costumes. You must be able to teach people various ways to dirty and distress multiple types of fabrics, costumes, props, etc. using various techniques and mediums such as paints, dyes, inks, dust, etc. Volunteers with experience in both distressing techniques and coordinating/leading other volunteers is a must for this position.
Children of Atom Gatekeeper and Distressing Booth
Report to the Children of Atom Lead while helping staff the Distressing Booth and gate. This role includes checking for wristbands. You must be willing and able to intercept attendees that may not be up to the guidelines and roleplay with them and get them to distress their own costumes. You'll teach attendees simple distressing techniques, provide supplies, and help them achieve a more immersive look while staying in character as a Child of Atom.
Experience with costume distressing is preferred but can be taught. Enthusiasm for roleplaying is required, as this role helps make costume corrections fun, welcoming, and immersive. Multiple volunteers are needed. Children of Atom costumes are encouraged but not required, we'll provide themed accessories.
Important: You will not distress attendees' costumes or belongings yourself. Instead, you'll demonstrate techniques on sample materials and provide supplies so attendees can distress their own items. We will also provide distressing supplies and demo materials but you are more than welcome to bring your own as well.
Clean Up Crew
Clean the event area post-event. This includes picking up small trash and/or making trash runs to designated dumpsters/facilities. Must be able to stay after the event concludes.
Go-fer
Handle immediate onsite needs, including shift coverage, supply delivery, and locating staff. Requires a flexible schedule, extensive walking, and ability to carry supplies. Extremely limited availability.
Merch Booth
Operate the onsite merch booth, handle sales, answer attendee questions, and secure inventory.
NPCs
Ambient characters proactively offering quests, activities, or bartering to attendees. Must provide your own questlines, rewards, and/or barter inventory. Highly selective; wearing a costume is not enough to qualify.
Photographers / Media
Capture high-quality in-character photos and video of factions, camps, events, NPCs, and attendees without breaking immersion. Portfolio required.
Off-Season Positions
App Developer
Off-season technical role to update last year's app for tracking faction quests. Requires a portfolio and experience with React Native and Expo Go.
Prize and Prop Production
Factions run quests from their camps, each with unique rewards. Instead of buying mass-produced props, we work with community artists to create them in exchange for event tickets.
This is an off-season role, so there's no onsite volunteer shift. Projects may include screen printing patches, painting, prop building, kitbashing, and more. You'll be assigned to a faction and work directly with its leads to create the items they need.
All crafting mediums are welcome. Please include examples of your work or a portfolio with your application. Applicants focused exclusively on 3D printing will be lower priority. This is a selective role, and we're looking for people who can produce high-quality work at scale.
If you want to run a faction, this is the wrong application; please use this form instead.
